Wow, it has been some time that I have checked up on the links farm. Let’s see what the web had been brewing.
Books! Someone recommended Japanese Rooms. The author gained insight into the lives of 82 Japanese citizens over 5 global cities over the course of nine years. This is a book I want in my collection as I am always collecting random books. You should see my bookshelf mixed with anything goes. While sticking to the japanese theme here, Japan Probe listed out the top 10 interesting Anime movies. Spirited Away gets my vote. And finally, Neojapanisme - Ask An Architect: Insulation - An insight about why there is so little insulation in Toyko homes (random article hey?).
Talking about photography, I found out the word Bokeh which is referring to the appearance of out-of-focus areas produced by the camera lens. This is one of the mystery cleared up for finding out the correct word until I got carried away reading this and probably the best bokeh lens to use? And oh! Kim Kirkpatrick who is known for his creative use of bokeh.
Let’s get technical now! Read up about the 0day treasure hunt. I definitely like this idea to hide something in the blog and find out what program has been enabled. Though, I wouldn’t recommend trying it on your production system if you are sensitive about data going to /dev/null
